Mechatronics

Dr. JungHun Choi, Assistant Professor, received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic and State University in 2006. He has conducted research in the areas of design and simulation of medical devices, robotics and hardware controls, mechatronics and automation, as well as sensors and measurements.

Dr. Jinki Kim, Assistant Professor, earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in 2017. He has conducted research in the areas of nonlinear dynamics, vibration and acoustics, and adaptive piezoelectric circuitry.

Dr. Biswanath Samanta, Associate Professor, received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Kharagpur in 1987.  He has since steadily held positions as Lecturer, Assistant Professor, and Associate Professor at various institutions.  His area of expertise is in the fields of mechatronics, dynamic systems and control, robotics and intelligent systems, and computational intelligence.

Dr. Minshul Shin, Assistant Professor, earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at The Tufts University in 2012. He has conducted research in the area of microelectricalmechanical systems (MEMS) and nanotechnology, including design and fabrication of micro and nanostructures, robots, sensors and actuators.
