Field Day Testing of Respiratory Masks

Dr. Aniruddha Mitra, Professor of Mechanical Engineering (far right) and Dr. Atin Adhikai, Associate Professor of Environmental Health Sciences (second from the left) have taken their research team to an asphalt plant to measure the effectiveness of various respiratory masks against airborne nanoparticles. This multidisciplinary project also involves Dr. Mosfequr Rahman, Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering, Mr. Clinton Martin, Senior Lecturer of Civil Engineering and Construction and Dr. Maxim Durach, Associate Professor of Physics and Astronomy. This project is partially funded by a seed grant from the Paulson College of Engineering and Computing. (PCEC)
