Research Interests

Dr. Qing’s research interest include materials characterization, ferrous metal casting, metal solidification, solidification simulation and optimization, material mechanical testing, metal failure analysis. Her expertise include metallography of ferrous metals and non-ferrous metals and material characterization using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), electron back scattered diffraction (EBSD), focus ion beam (FIB), and transmission electron microcopy (TEM).
