GS Student Web Analyst Position

University Communications and Marketing is looking for a motivated student to join our Web Content team! As a Student Web Analyst under the direction of the Web Content Manager, you will assist in auditing the University website to improve its performance and usability and support our efforts in competitive research and search engine optimization. 

Position is based at the Armstrong Campus and reports to the Web Content Manager.

  • Proficient in use of G-Suite Applications (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, etc)
  • Proficient in use of Google search engine
  • Experience using WordPress preferred


  • Learn how to use various website analysis tools to identify issues impacting website performance and usability
  • review website pages to assist in audits of
    • Page load speed
    • browser/mobile friendliness
    • Accessibility to users with disabilities (ADA compliance)
    • Metadata for search engine optimization (SEO)
    • Content edits for website redesign/rebranding
  • Document findings and track status of issues using Google sheets and other tools
  • Communicate issues to website owners using standardized email templates and generated reports
  • Collaborate with other members of UCM team as required to resolve issues
  • Take specific corrective actions as directed by Web Content Manager
  • Other duties as assigned
