Data Analyst 1 – Southern Trust & Southern Specialty Underwriters

Description:
Under the direction of the Data Analyst II, the Data Analyst I is primarily responsible to coordinate and oversee operations on company projects. They mine data from primary and secondary sources—and reorganize that data to effectively convey important information to stakeholders. He/She will prepare reports, extracts, and visuals for executive leadership and operational managers. He/She will collaborate with programmers, engineers, and organizational leaders to identify opportunities for process improvements, recommend system modifications, and develop policies for data governance. Create appropriate documentation that allows stakeholders to understand the steps of the data analysis process and duplicate or replicate the analysis if necessary.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
50%- Responsible for tracking product modifications and integrations with internal and external vendors
20%- Establish client requirements for the implementation of significant changes in the IT infrastructure, organizational roles and responsibilities, and scope or nature of service delivery
30%- Update product rate and validations through application UI

Ability to produce accurate work under pressure with frequent deadlines.Strong communication skills for gaining understanding, support and compliance from both executive and junior audiences.Strong collaboration skills.Must be detailed oriented and able to provide superior level of customer service to employees and colleagues.Must be self-motivated, highly organized with the ability to prioritize independently while demonstrating a sense of urgency.Implementing 24×7 production support procedures.Manage, monitor and configuring workflow.Analysis and critical thinking skills. Excellent oral and written communications skills are required to mentor peers and handle Incident related tasks.Excellent Oral and Written communication skills are required as is the ability to multitask and work under pressure.Strong analysis and critical thinking skills.Very strong communication and presentation skills for gaining understanding, support and compliance from both executive and junior audiences.CANDIDATE MUST BE ABLE TO REPORT TO MACON, GA OFFICE 

Education:
Degree in IT or Business Discipline 

Experience:
* 1+ years project reporting.
* 1+ System Analysis.
* 1+ years in working in a highly scalable data environment.
