TekLAN48 – March 6, 2020
AITP hosts TekLAN every semester and partners with other student organizations to provide a memorable experience. This is a social gaming event that takes over the entire second floor of the IT building. When you come in, there will be snacks, pizzas, and drinks available for purchase in the second floor atrium.
You can volunteer and help with managing the event, create the LAN that allows for gaming on lab computers, tearing down the event, or just come along for the fun!
Most of the PC gaming happens in rooms 2208/2210, where the wall between the rooms is opened and all the lab PCs are converted into gaming computers by using a virtual hard drive. In the other rooms, there are events such as a VR lab hosted by Dr. Thackston in room 1205, board and card games hosted by Green Ambassadors, Anime Club, movies, guitar hero hosted by WIT, karaoke, console gaming, and Dungeons and Dragons short campaigns.
The tournament held during this TekLAN48 will be in 2210, featuring League of Legends. Enter the tournament the day of TekLAN, March 6th, for a chance to win an Amazon gift card.
