IT Faculty attend NSA/DHS Cybersecurity Forum

Assistant Professors Frank Katz and Elizabeth Rasnick attended a National Security Agency (NSA) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) 2019 Southeast CAE (Center for Academic Excellence) Cybersecurity Forum in Pensacola, Florida from September 11-13. This was a three day forum with topics including governance, risk management, compliance, and knowledge unit mapping. Attendees are from institutions from several states and Puerto Rico. Assistant Professors Katz and Rasnick will also start the planning for Georgia Southern’s re-designation as a CAE Institution.

The NSA/DHS National Center of Academic Excellence Regional Resource Center for the Southeast is at the University of West Florida.
