Dr. Rami Haddad Receives the 2019 SoTL Award

Dr. Rami Haddad, associate professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering was selected as the 2019 Georgia Southern SoTL Award Recipient. The SoTL Award recognizes faculty for the quality, quantity, and impact of their contributions to the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) as well as the application of research insights to improve the student learning experience.

Inspired by a teaching philosophy grounded in active learning and student engagement, Dr. Haddad has conducted research on the effectiveness of his instructional methods; he has presented and published the results of his research in national and international outlets. SoTL research conducted by Dr. Haddad has focused on adaptive teaching strategies, gamification, and hybrid instruction in addition to several other areas of study.
