Dr. Aniruddha Mitra to present Robert Strozier Lecture March 4

Dr. Aniruddha Mitra, professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, will present a 2021-2022 Robert I. Strozier Faculty Lecture on Friday, March 4 at 12:00p.m. in the Ogeechee Theater in the Student Union on the Armstrong Campus. The lecture and discussion will be on: A Study on Penetration of Ultrafine Particles through Commercially Available Masks at Manufacturing Sites.

Dr. Mitra’s research expertise is in airborne nanoparticles, as well as structural integrity. He has been at Georgia Southern since 2002, and until recently was the state director of Project Lead The Way, a national non-profit organization promoting STEM education in K-12 classrooms through teacher training and course module development.

Robert I. Strozier, Ph.D., Professor Emeritus and alumnus, died April 28, 2021 in Savannah, GA. He is remembered as a mentor, poet, acclaimed speaker, and extraordinary English professor on the Armstrong campus of Georgia Southern. The annual Robert I. Strozier Faculty Lecture Series is named in his honor.
