Graduate Lands Dream Job at Tesla

Gracia Dardano, a recent graduate of the BSME program at Georgia Southern, recently accepted a position as an Associate Manufacturing Engineer with Tesla in their Cell Battery Engineering Department. Dardano will undergo training in Fremont, CA prior to departing to Tesla’s new battery facility in Austin, TX.

Dardano, originally from El Salvador, was recruited by Georgia Southern and enrolled as an Honors student. She conducted her honors thesis research on airborne nanoparticle filtration under the mentorship of Dr. Aniruddha Mitra, PE, and Professor of Mechanical Engineering. Dardano graduated in December Summa Cum Laude and with Honors.

In addition to her academic achievements at Georgia Southern, Dardano also served as the President of the local student chapter of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).
