Dr, Lau earned his Ph.D. at the University of Rhode Island in 1999. He has been teaching for over 17 years at Armstrong State University, now Georgia Southern University. He also taught and developed curricula for the Georgia WebBSIT and was involved in the development of the fully online baccalaureate degree program in Information Technology, jointly developed and offered by five institutions within the University System of Georgia (USG).
Dr. Lau’s teaching expertise includes software development, object-oriented programming, Java programming, SQL, PHP, web and app development, client/server systems and database administration.
Dr. Lau does research in Databases, Information Systems (Business Informatics), Computer Communications (Networks), and IT and CS Education and Curricula.
