Pi Tau Sigma receives Outstanding Service Award

The Georgia Southern chapter of Pi Tau Sigma, the International Mechanical Engineering Honor Society, received one of only three Outstanding Service Awards at the 2018 Annual Convention. There are more than 130 chapters of the honor society nationwide.
The Pi Tau Sigma mission is to strive to create better engineers through commitment to academic excellence and dedication to service.  Each year, Pi Tau Sigma recognizes three chapters for the Outstanding Performance award and three chapters for the Outstanding Service Award. Georgia Southern’s Beta Iota, our chapter of Pi Tau Sigma, was given the Outstanding Service Award at the 2018 Annual Convention hosted by The University of Miami in Miami, FL. The award was accepted by Elizabeth Robinson, a senior Mechanical Engineering student at Georgia Southern, and the local chapter President. For more information, feel free to contact Dr. David Calamas, the Faculty Advisor of the student organization.
